While emu oil is just beginning to make its mark in the world of clinical trials, there are some studies that seem to indicate that the qualities of pure emu oil are well founded.

A report on a study finding emu oil to be “totally non-irritating, having good moisturizing properties, cosmetically pleasing texture, and low incidence of comedogenicity.” Additionally it states that “the most intriguing property of emu oil, …is its proposed ability to penetrate the [skin].
